Green Pants McGee

Green Pants McGee

I’m working on a new style of pen holder / base in preparation for a custom pen for a friend.  To make this upcoming special pen, I’m going to need to make a tall lanky body for the pen, so I tested out the method by making  this short and stubby body.   That doesn’t make much sense, but what really makes sense when you’re up at 1 AM, playing with clay, and already into your 8th episode of The Office.   (I did get to see when Dwight got a concussion while trying to rescue Michael, who just cooked his foot in his George Foreman Grill while making bacon in bed.)

The pants turned out pretty well, I’m getting better with some of the smaller details when working with the clay.  Notice the belt loops and buckle on his pants.  Don’t you hate when you forget to put a belt on in the morning?  So do I.

Say hello to Green Pants McGee.  Based loosely on the Dr. Seuss book, “What Was I Scared of?”  Just like the spooky pair of green pants, he has no arms.  I know.  I forgot to make them.  Next time.
