A Monstrophabet Book

A Monstrophabet Book

Screen Shot 2014-06-18 at 9.39.11 AMIn 2013, I participated in the Sketchbook Project and created A Monstrophabet Book.  I originally drew my first monster alphabet in 1998 and for years have wanted to attempt to make another.  In addition, one of my bucket list items is to have a piece of artwork in a museum.  The Sketchbook Project takes hundreds of completed sketchbooks on tour around the country and then catalogs them in their museum in Brooklyn, New York.

Taking about 6 weeks to draw, paint and ink, I spent many late nights hunched over the art desk to complete the book by the deadline…

My favorite letters are the V / W combination.  What is yours?
